Files were transferred to Archives by the curatorial office.

Biographical or Historical Note


The postion of Curator of Textiles and Costume was established in April 1991. Elizabeth Ann Coleman filled the positon . In the same year, the Textiles and Costume Institute was formed to enable the Museum to develop its collection through a core group of donors.

RG04:09:01.2.3 Interdepartmental Correspondence.



Collection Scope and Content Note


The contents reflect the development of both the department and the collection. The files contain research on designers, fabrics and donors. In particular, they contain information on textiles in the Bayou Bend collection.
